> [!NOTE]
> This feature is optional. If you don't see **Form Submissions** in your Admin, your site may not use it or your role may not have access. Ask your agency if you'd like to use it.

Responses are stored in **Form Submissions**. You can review them in the Admin and export them for follow-up. Notification emails are a separate convenience; check the stored responses even if an email has not arrived.

## Find a response

1. Open **Form Submissions**. Check **Created At** and **Form** to identify the response.
2. Open **Filters**, select **Add Filter**, and set **Form** to **equals** the form you want.

3. Use **Columns** to add useful details such as **Name**, **Email**, **Phone**, **Subject** or **Company**, where available. A blank cell may mean that form did not ask for that information.
4. Open a response to read its **Submission Data**: the questions and answers sent by the visitor. On sites offering columns labelled with a form's title and question, you can add those to the list too.

The **Submission Data** count in the list is the number of stored answers, not the number of people or messages.

## Export responses

1. Set the filters you need before exporting. Open the list's **More options** menu and choose **Export Form Submissions**.
2. Set **File name** and **Export Format**. CSV is useful for a spreadsheet.
3. Under **Selection to use**, choose **Use current filters** to export the list you just selected. Choose **Use all documents** only when you need every response.
4. Review **Fields** and the **Preview**. Check that the answers you need appear as readable columns.

5. Select **Download**. Open the file and check its headings and a sample response.

| Field | What it does | Tip |
| -------------------- | -------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| **File name** | Names the downloaded file. | Include the form and date so you can recognize it later. |
| **Export Format** | Chooses the download format. | CSV opens in most spreadsheet applications. |
| **Limit** | Caps the number of exported responses. | **0** means no limit. |
| **Sort by** | Chooses the order of exported responses. | Date order makes recent enquiries easier to find. |
| **Selection to use** | Chooses filtered responses or all responses. | Check this before downloading. |
| **Fields** | Chooses which information to include. | Include the date, form and answers you need. |
| **Preview** | Shows a sample of the export. | It is a sample, not a count of the full download. |

## Check afterwards

Confirm the downloaded file contains the intended form and date range. Responses can contain personal information: share the file only with people who need it and follow your organization's retention rules.
