Add a new page
Create a page with a template, a hero, a section, and a quote, then publish it at its own address.
On this page
You'll build a practice page with a hero and two blocks. Allow about five minutes. Use a name that is easy to recognize, such as "Editor tour".
Create the page and heroLink to this section
-
Open Pages and choose Create new Page.
-
Enter "Editor tour" in Page title. In the sidebar, set Page Template to Default. This gives you a hero and a flexible content area.
-
In Content, choose Simple under Hero Type. Enter "Welcome to our new page" in Title. The optional Label (optional) is a short line above the heading. Description is the introduction below it.
Add two blocksLink to this section
-
Click in the main Content editor below the hero. Type a short introduction, then start a new paragraph.
-
Open the blocks menu at the left of the toolbar and choose Section. In its Content, type "What we do" and a short explanation. Leave Color, Background Variant, and Padding at their defaults for now.
-
Click the blank paragraph after the Section. Open the blocks menu again and choose Quote. Enter "Good work starts with a clear plan." in its text area. Add Citation lets you credit the speaker when needed.
The blocks appear in the order you add them. For more layouts, use the block reference.
Why this matters: each block's Content belongs to that block. To add the Quote after the Section, click outside the Section, in the main editor below it.
Set the address and publishLink to this section
-
Set URL path in the sidebar to
editor-tour. Use lowercase words with hyphens, without spaces or a leading slash. If the field is locked, use its lock control to make it editable. -
Leave Parent Page empty for this exercise. A parent adds another page's path before yours.
-
Choose Save Draft, then Live Preview to check the hero, introduction, Section, and Quote. Choose Publish changes when you're happy with them.
-
Open your website address followed by
/editor-tourin another tab. The demo address is demo.systhema.app/editor-tour (opens in new tab). If a preview bar appears, choose Exit preview mode to check the published page.

The new page should open at its address and show your content. A published page does not automatically become a menu item. Use Navigation when you want visitors to find it in the Header or Footer.
