Turbopack HMR Workaround RemovedLink to this section

The temporary importMap workaround in src/app/layout.tsx — previously required on Payload-powered Systhema projects to avoid Turbopack HMR crashes (payloadcms/payload#14419 (opens in new tab)) — is now officially resolved in Payload 3.79.1. The workaround has been removed from both the @systhemaui/core scaffolding and the Payload template.

If your project still has the following code in src/app/layout.tsx, you should remove it for better performance:

  export default async function Layout({ children }: { children: React.ReactNode }) {
-   if (process.env.NODE_ENV === 'development') {
- // todo: remove this later, once Turbopack HMR problem is fixed (@reference https://github.com/payloadcms/payload/issues/14419)
-     await import('./(payload)/admin/importMap')
-   }
    return children
  }

Systhema now ships with Next.js 16.2.0 as the default and recommended version across all packages and templates. This is the current latest stable release and brings significant improvements to the framework. All @systhemaui/* packages and templates have been updated accordingly.
