  1. Look at the Collections area. Pages holds the pages of your website. Uploads is your shared media library. Choose a named card to open its list, or its plus button to create a new item.

  2. Open the menu at the top left. Use Pages to return to your page list from anywhere in the Admin.

  3. Find Header and Footer under Globals. These are shared parts of the website. They have one set of settings rather than a list of separate pages.

  4. Open Pages. Find Home, the homepage in the demo. Choose its name to open the editor.

On sites with extra tools, the menu also has Posts, Forms, or other sections. You don't need these for your first edit. Dashboard charts, when available, give an overview of site activity. They don't change your content.

You should be able to return to Pages, find Home, and open it. Notice the difference between a collection such as Pages and a shared setting such as Header.

Why this matters: a page edit affects that page. A Header or Footer edit can affect the whole website.
